These qualifications are designed for those wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification in Event Stewarding.

The objective of these qualifications are to prepare learners for employment as an event steward providing learners with knowledge, understanding and skills in health and safety, responding to a variety of situations during events, managing the movement of spectators, managing conflict situations, responding to emergencies and providing information and advice.


Skills Active Spectator Safety National Occupational Standards:   The Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety (RQF)  (formally known as L2 NVQ) is designed for individuals who are already employed or seeking employment in positions such as Crowd Safety Steward, Response Security Officer or Event Support. It aligns with the Skills Active Spectator Safety National Occupational Standards, which are recommended as the minimum qualification level in the SGSA’s Green Guide for Safety at Sports Grounds.
